Elmore, Ohio is small. Really small. You can hold your breath going through downtown. Just to let you all know, on ANY given Saturday morning at 8 AM, you can go to Village Inn and find my grandmother and a slew of other relatives of mine having breakfast for at least two hours. I spent a lot of time coming to Elmore throughout my life, so places this this leave a fondness in my heart.
The atmosphere is what makes this place -- everyone knows everyone -- menus are usually not given -- you just order what you want (although if you ask, menus are provided)
I ordered a jalapeno, tomato and onion omelete with egg whites, rye toast and extra crispy potatoes. The potatoes were actually crispy : bonus. The omelette was okay.
The waitress left a pot of coffee on the table. One of my favorite things in a diner.
Beware: the service can be lacking on certain days here -- But... who cares? You're in Elmore, small town america. And out side the trees are beautiful.
Of course I'll be back here.
(My brother buys my grams a hundred dollar gift certificate to the Village Inn every year - and regarding the low prices here, that's at least eleven meals. -

Good small town restaurant to eat at but very inconsistent with there food. One time the food is amazing other times I wonder who is cooking it. It takes forever to get and its not with the wait for the food. Good for kids. It had really gone up in price too. Price here does not equal quality. The staff is very hot and cold too. Just hope you hit them up on a good day. I would not make this a must stop unless you are desperately hungry.
I have not decided if I will try it again, time will tell. -

We stopped at the Village Inn in Elmore, OH because of the nice reviews already posted. We like to stop off the road and see small towns and the local area. We were not disappointed with the good breakfast. The staff were all so friendly and so were the local people.......and BTW, thank you Jim for our wonderful surprise you gave to my father and me on 5/22/2015 ! We plan to pay it forward too! Thank you!

I went to lunch with clients at The Village Inn today and it is so quaint! I really felt the small-town vibe, which was nice. My main beef is that there were almost no healthy options at the restaurant, but what I ate (Turkey Club) was phenominal. My server was sweet and cute as a button and we were in and out in less than 40 minutes. :)
